Pleasantly EXHAUSTED!

Honestly, I did not feel like getting up at 4:30 am, to go to the gym today. Second day meeting with my personal trainer, and it was quite a workout! I am glad I pushed myself to go, as I am feeling great, and ready for whatever the day has in store for me. Note to self…Go to bed earlier tonight, for my workout tomorrow!

Week 2 of Making ME…have more energy!

I have officially broke myself into week two with The Lab Gym.  Last week was about getting into my groove and letting my personal trainer get to know me and what my limits are.  Well ladies and gentleman, I like to think I have met pushed my limits every session so far and my trainer is perfect for my competitive nature.

I also had the chance to step into Chesterfield Park Dental office and get a routine cleaning done. The office staff was pleasant and very knowledgeable. The next step will be to make my pearlie’s nice and white! 🙂

Stay tuned for more limit pushing posts!

FUN TIMES!

Okay.. I am trying this again, as my last post did not seem to make it.  Apologies, if you have already witnessed my ramblings. 😉
So far, I am LOVING going to the gym on a regular basis. It’s challenging to get to class at 5:30 am, but I feel much better throughout the day. My husband is a bit jealous, and he went out and bought a new bike, so he can get in shape as well! We rode 10 miles on Sunday..but of course, I was a bit ahead of him on the trail. 😉
Spray tanning…Hmm. Not sure if I would do it again, and no fault on the company. VERY nice staff. It just takes a bit getting used to, standing in your undies, while someone sprays you . I am fair skinned, so I am also not used to having any kind of a tan..besides a sunburn.
Looking forward to the coming weeks!!!

Welcome!

Hello all! This is Jessica, blindly starting this blog & Marketing Coordinator at Riverfront Times. 🙂  We are embarking on a journey with 4 St. Louis women who have connections in some way to 4 local non-profits.  During a 12 week period these women will “transform” themselves with the help our our sponsors: The Lab Gym, Sol Tan, Chesterfield Dental, & The Lash Loft Salon & Spa. After 6 weeks, the women will showcase their 1/2 way point transformation in a photo shoot (with each photo being printed in Riverfront Times!). After 12 weeks, the women will reveal their final transformation at the RFT “Big Reveal” party.  This event will be open to the public and feature drink specials (location TBD).  The purpose of this blog is for the participating women to document their journey; the good, bad and ugly! The four women are (drum roll please….):

Lisa Pearse of Animal Proctecive Association

Karen Greeves of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Jessica Healey of Food Outreach

Jacinta Witherspoon of Habitat for Humanity
